40,000 bu and a $3 paper loss= $120,000
60,000 of it would have been paid to IRS 2013 from 1040 and state tax.
looks to me like the government is going to have a little shortfall in income since some of that 60,000 gets redistributed to those who pay no income tax.
I can see why you are concerned if you work for the government or are a recipient
