western iowa,by Denison | all I can add is there was a lot of corn sold on Monday-Ray told us from his part how much was moved on Monday-I seen it myself Here by Arcadia Iowa-lots of farm wagons rolling-got me thinkin $7 is a lot of money-know of about 5 guys that wanted a better bid then $7-like they would sell if the bid was $7.22-kinda bites I have new crop bought at $6 for cattle, but at the time it was a $1 cheaper for my cattle and did not know how much old crop I would need to get to now-I personally think it will be a long time before we ever go over $7 for corn again and I doubt if I will make the right decision when we get there again-gonna sweep the old crop bin out today-the bid is $5.71 -still a good price -
I think Monday was decision time -have seen it happen a couple of times in my life-Those Dec calls-will we will see-maybe buy some really cheaper ones now if you think the market is wrong-
We can have less bushels with less price -no one said it had to be $7 corn-I think the hay market from last spring was always on my mind as a predicter of where this grain market should be priced-take 40% off everything comes to mind | |
