Did people think six dollar corn would last forever?
Back to reality.
3.00 corn will have us back to 6.00 corn in the not too distant future. Global markets can move from unprofitable to profitable in a matter of days..... It's probably good to let the end user have a little break in here. It's also good for a few operations to remember what it's like to sharpen the pencil and work on managing inputs and costs. 6.00 corn makes everybody a good farmer.
Farmers have cash and are probably in the best financial position in history. Anybody that wants to gloat over the dead carcass of the over-leveraged, and under-capitalized corn farmer is probably wasting their time...at least for now. |
