SC Iowa | Mrs. J and I are going to be on another trip up to northern Iowa on Saturday/Sunday, but this time we are going to focus on the east side of I-35....
some time ago I did a little exercise where I looked at 12-15 counties and I split them out as follows:
1) top row.....30% of previous year corn acres were PP
2) second row....20% of previous year corn acres were PP
3_ third row.....10% of previous year corn acres were PP
using that formula, I was coming up with 750-800,000 corn acres that were PP
one of my goals on this trip is to see if I should be thinking about adding more counties involved in the prevented planting situation....
