east central iowa | 2013 will still be a strong year for dealers, most are already deferring sales to 2014, if things tank, by the end of 2014 there might be some nice machinery for sale, we are one early frost away from another run up, and if we end up with a late frost it will be interesting to see who will stick their neck out on farms for rent with single digit beans and 3$ corn. for the record I have 2/3 of my beans left and 1/4 of my corn yet, but all bills are paid for the crop in the ground and if things tank more than they have already I will still be doing just fine. if I had thousands of acres rented long term at 400-500 an acre I might be puckering up a little bit though. | |
