Then you can always scare the crap out of them with massive shorts...

Just thinking about this... I have no skin in the old crop game but farmers who have held on this long... Looking at new crop prices... May be easier to scare the old crop out (down) than to bid it out... (Up) because they think that because they have held on to it this long they should get way more $/bu. however traders shorting the front of this August contract might get those strong hands weak and flush the bushels out letting the bears cover their shorts at the end of the contract month...

Thoughts? Will fireworks come towards the middle of August? Where are there mature dried down beans yet?
