Morris, IL | As long as separator is off you should be fine. Actually if i'm remember correctly it drives off electric clutch, i know i've had belt jump off electric clutch and reel stopped which tells me their was no pressure. I normally just hook them back together when not used so i don't forget. Also it helps to hook the hoses on head back together (although with new head i don't know how) but if done it will allow reel to move while on head cart. Nice for working on sickle and such.
