NW Minnesota | I'd say put a undersal 200 on the tractor and then you can run the same Deere hardware in both machines ---- you may not get the accuracy of the 8430 since the 8430 has an intergrated system. You could go integrated with an Ag-leader or Trimble system but then it's another system, another set of learning curves, etc. I think you can get a ATU 200 for $1,500-$2,500. Depends on what kind of screen and globe you want but I'd get at least SF2. Talk to your dealer and I agree with Farmerjon52 - get a good dealer! If your local dealer doesn't have someone on staff or they aren't big into the GPS, find one that is! It will make a difference. | |
