If there are 1000 seeds in that hopper, at a 5 inch spacing on corn, that's 5000 inches, or 416 feet worth of seed. Also, blowing a different hybrid in before the hopper was empty would result in a gradual transition, and the first hybrid wouldn't be entirely cleaned out for a very long time.
