Why not? Start with one row unit, keep it contained within a 30" wide space, then test it. Once you have a single row planter working, you just duplicate it for a bigger planter.
I think a multi-hybrid planter needs to drop both seed types out the same seed tube. That way there is only one set of openers and press wheels, thus keeping the cost acceptable. Two hoppers and seed meters that are operated by stepper motors so that one can instantly turn off and the other instantly turn on. |
