Subject: RE: southern corn crop questions ?

Wallis, TX

Shelling corn today for a neighbor.  His fields were 100, 75 & maybe 110-120.  I'm guessing he fertilized for a 125-140bu crop judging by the land, variety and farmer's history.  It just got too hot, too dry, too early, with no sub moisture, for the corn to finish up.
