Subject: RE: Homemade Tractor Weights (Pic Heavy)

Sandy Hook, MB

Hello Slowzuki

I have some concrete 18"x18"x6" & 24"x24"x6" blocks & first thought about building a box out of angle iron & using that, but did not want anything too big & bulky. Space is at a premium in my machine shed & as it is where the 7700 sits hooked up to the cutter mixer feeder (have to feed silage to cattle every evening), I can close the door with 6" to spare. So I wanted something affordable with as much weight/cubic inch. I never gave the water tank any thought though. I think steel is heavier than water/cubic inch. Also if I had to put the FEL on that tractor for whatever reason, in a hurry & not have to remove weights because I may have to spray again next morning, I didn't want anything that would get in the way.
