Subject: Re: Crop Residue for Ethanol

LaSalle, Ontario, 10 miles south of Detroit Mi.
Because I have no livestock in my area for manure I want all the stover I can get to stay on my fields. With all the changes in the weather if I can raise my organic matter it will help me in dry years and when crop is small those pounding rains won't be as bad either. In my opinion. For my little farm of 120 acres it is a pain to crop corn, beans and wheat but that is a good rotation for the soil and I add underseeded red clover to the wheat, for a little kick to the corn the next year. Just my 2 cents worth.
