Prairie of Southern MN | You guys must have better luck timing those old balers than I did. On the 14T, I found that perfect time was usually half-way between 2 chain links on the chain driven knotters. Then there was the time that same chain stretched a little, just enough to cause the safety stop to not engage, and I re-configured a set of needles with the plunger at full RPM.
It was a really good day when the 336 with gear driven knotters showed up. I will completely agree that the 14T when it was working made better bales than the red & yellow or red & white ones. | |
