Subject: Re: Intellislope in the mud tile question

What really confuses me is that I did not have to be down 4' until I drove ahead 10 ft and then went to restart. Someone in the precision thread suggested that I had to be lower because of the start compensation factor. Perhaps that along with the sinking in the mud on the survey run explains it. I actually think I sunk in on the survey run a little ahead of where I stopped and lifted up, so perhaps it was thinking that area would be too shallow if we kept the pitch we had. I even tried to set the minimum depth at about 20" and set the grade to flat to see if it would let me have a shallower start depth, but nothing seemed to work. I'm actually glad the computer rejected those parameters, because I did not like them anyway and probably would not have used them.
