NEMO | Also ask the taxpayers of Des Moines how much urea based snow removal cinders were put on the roads and highways this past winter. Or how much nitrogen fertilizer was put on their yards this spring. Or................ The list goes on and on. I am down river from Des Moines, do they ever post nitrate tests in early spring after a big snow event? You suppose the chemicals for snow removal get into the drinking water as fast as farm fertilizer? While I believe in good fertilizer management practices, lots of this BS isnt necessarily coming from farmers.
