Napanee, Ontario
Like Pushing on a spring.

Just look at the meat cow prices - we sold 5 culls last week for 78-81.

You have variables closing in on higher feeders and fats prices from every angle now
-5-10k ac ground
-$200+ pairs pasture rent
-$5-7 corn
- $100 hay bales
-hay ground getting turned for beans and corn everyday here.

then you have
-$200+ on the rail
-high dollar niche market (grass/n-gmo ect) carve out from otherwise available commercial fats
-increased slaughter percentages yoy against decreasing supply of cattle
-meat cows going for close to 80-90 cents in some sales here....what happens when they run out of cull slaughters??

...how long can these packers keep on lid on things for? Realistically with rail up, and staying over 200, fats SHOULD be going for 150...
