Driftless SW Wisconsin

Thanks Mark. That's probably why my neighbor really doesn't want to go bigger than 60".

There is a setting for the pins on the forward end of the wrapper that is labeled "72in" but that may require perfectly round 72" bales.

I would hate to get a lot of oat hay baled up and run into problems wrapping it. At 60" this really went pretty quickly yesterday. Good thing too with the rains coming in shortly after we finished. And heavy rains.

I may just stick with the 60" then. That 6" is not worth causing him a lot of problems. I will go a full 72" when I get the hay shed up and have a good stretch of dry weather to just put the bales in a shed. Larger bales mean fewer times starting the tractor and loading the outside bale feeders in the middle of winter.

Jim
