Years ago, my dad harvested some fescue with an old JD 95 combine. It took a little doing to get the fan slowed down enough but it seemed to work pretty well by my remembrance. Years later I tried to cut some with a JD6600 which was a disaster. I did get some harvested but then I plugged the shoe augers and I never thought I'd get them freed up.
