Perry County, 35 miles NW of Harrisburg, PA
Lucas,

Some more questions.

What was the previous crop?
In addition to the 4000 gal. hog manure, how much Nitrogen did you put on? Was all this with the planter?
Have you tried any 15 in. beans into rye this tall?

I have planted corn, planted 30 in. beans and drilled beans into much the same as your pictures, but I am still trying to fine tune the system. Thanks for taking the time to post the pics.

By the way, I am sure Leroy will appreciate being one of the old-timers you referred to.

Also, as I told John Tooker, the heavier my green cover crop that I planted into, the less slug damage I had. The few places that I had bare ground, the slugs had a feast on my corn and beans.
