My agent told me this week that when you PP they give you 60 or 65% of your trend yeild that year to figure in your average. 

Also learned that when you PP you lose the harvest price option if you have that on your policy.

PP may be the only way to pay bills here this year for beans. Havent been able to plant since 5-18 here excpet for 20 acres that me mudded in some ground that he mudded through with the disk for a neighbor last friday. All we needed was a couple more days of sun here but never got it.  

There comes a point when your garantee dwindles to the same revenue as PP you might as well throw in the towel. We also have some HEL land in this county that has to have cover crops on it to comply with a conservation plan. That kind of weighs in the big picture too.
