Hoosier has it right. Those are the most important differences. The 30 to 40 series change from 404 to 466 was a big step up.
I would add the 55 and 60 series onto the end of the line. Not really a lot of difference there from the earlier ones. Main thing I can think of is electronic control of the rockshaft/3 pt hitch instead of mechanical.
Oh, MFWD came out on the 50 series, the 40 series and earlier had hydrostatic FWA.
