We did have mud on the wheel sensor and ripped off the wire, but that was before we changed tractors. The wheel speed sensor was fixed and working before we switch tractors. After we switched tractors, I can see the wheel speed sensor go from inactive to active so I've been told that it is reading the wheel sensor ok. I've tried to put in a fixed speed and that doesn't seem to help.
