Great Southern, Western Australia | As I understand it an Omnistar enabled P300 can accept Omnistar G2 with a Glonass unlock, as long as it is one of the later models. We are facing a similar dilemma to you, except we have a P300 unlocked to HP, but would like RTK accuracy, or close to it. We are seriously considering swapping the P300 for a 372 on Centerpoint RTX. Our other option is an RTK and Glonass upgrade to P300 with an external radio using our base station. This would actually be a more expensive option!
I believe Raven need a better receiver option than the P300. It is an extra box in the cab, clunky old menu screen, and even more stuff in the cab if you add external radios or Slingshot etc. They need a receiver/antenna combination with option of embedded radio like all the other manufacturers. Or otherwise let their screens talk to the likes of Trimble 372 or Topcon AGI 4 |
