Has anyone tried mudding in beans with the old double disc drills? Bout ready to give up on the planter and drag out the old crust buster drill. There is so many wet spots it seems all I do is dig off mud between the gauge wheels and closing wheels. Thinking of hooking up a mfwd to the drill, raise the coulters up all the way and just let the openers open a slit to shove the beans into. The slot pry won't close very well but it with rain forecasted this weekend through Wednesday does it matter? No till into cornstalks.

This is my plan for the remaining 9 acres I have. Probably won't amount to boo but you gotta try.
