Subject: RE: MarkWright, cull cow price? bout $90 cwt here

New Mexico
on the high end. a lot of em 84 to 88 mid yields.

If your's are mid yields now ( bare touch of fat cover ), gotta move em now.
Packers tend to discount the cows with excess fat $5 cwt.
Thin, low yield cows are in the low $70's btw.

I think it's going higher ( say another $10 cwt on thru June, and likely yet another 10 cwt. on thru Aug 1st ).
Seasonally it generally inclines now and peaks bout 1st of August.

Cold beef in storage is the same as 2012, same frame.
same meat class as last year ( boneless beef stocks is the bulk of it )

Non fed harvest has been running records, but most beef areas that were selling are now sold down now.

Demand Function ( volume sold x price ) for lean beef has Never been better than Now.

RAIN makes Feed. Even floods or supposedly 2 much rain makes extra feed.

cull cow cull bull / non fed deal in the eastern 1/2 to 2/3 of the usa is getting tight to non existent now.
