North Central Iowa | I've been looking at having some equipment hauled and have found about $2.00/loaded mile for anything that doesn't require overwidth/overweight permits. Add a fuel surcharge and it works out to about $2.25. Overwidth permits like for a combine makes it about $3.00/loaded mile, and I've had trouble finding anyone who wants to do it long distance. Finally found a guy about 40 miles away that seems to be reasonable and will haul most things.
