I agree. 300 lb will start out at more like 0.3 but will progress to maybe 0.7 by the time he is 700 lb.  I'm just trying to be conservative and illustrate the calc method. Grass will not be 50 CD grass all summer and fall either.

In the end with rotational grazing  (6) 1 acre paddocks in NC OH the grass ought to be able to support at least 12 initially 300 lb calves with no supplemental hay etc.
