You can buy an eDrive from Outback for the auto steer part to work with your Outback S and buy the new Auto boom control from Outback (made by Raven) that is simple to install and you would be set up. We run that setup (with either an S or S2) on our Eagle 8100 and it works awesome. We use a 360 for on screen map. You could upgrade from the S to the S3 if you want do display a map. The S will bring a decent price on eBay. May be able to pick up a 360 cheap used some day as they are rather dated now - but they still have a very nice high resolution screen - just lacking other features.

Best? Have no idea since I don't use anything else but the Outback system definitely works well.
