Remember when "Japan Inc." went on a worldwide buying binge back in the 80s? They've been stuck in the mud ever since. Maybe history repeats?
Or perhaps instead of shipping expensive corn to China for their own domestic pork production, maybe they see greater efficiency in feeding the corn in the US and shipping the meat.
