Mount Upton NY | Did first cutting here last week. Grass was mature, alfalfa was not but took it anyway. Glad we did as we have gotten nearly 4 inches of rain since then. The quality should be excellent and don't have to worry about cutting up the fields. Still have about 120 acres of corn to plant but its going to need a few days of sun and wind. It only 89 day grain corn so we are not to worried about it getting mature. If it is not drying down we will just do it for HMEC. | |
