We don't have much wind here but its still hard to get big doors or open sides on buildings set on frost walls as they need so much shear area or big wind braces up into the trusses to the walls. Poles get away from a lot of that.

you'll have a much better building trenching your wall to frost depth and pouring a stub wall up a couple of feet and framing off of that, and not much more than permacolumns. Having the main structure supports in a building butt spliced together with just a couple bolts right at their shear point doesn't seem like a real good idea.
