Central WI | Currently have T8.360, and have a TG275 (that we only use for planting now.)
cummins burned 13.5 - 14 gal/hour and the t8 the same or more under power plus the cost of def. I can get the t8 to burn much less, but also at the cost of doing much less work an hour and only pulling the chisel at 3.5-4 mph. We have always pulled our chisel at 5.5-6.0 mph even with our older geniuses series, which is just right to get that ground turned over. The t8 can do that in certain fields and some spacers in the chisel to keep it up, but those fields are few and far between.
The real kickers is that there have been instances where we hit a spot in the field where it's muddy or real heavy and you can't hit the clutch fast enough before the tractor chokes off, it has absolutely no balls.
Maybe I am asking to much from a tractor with almost 15 years of technology on our 8870 geniuses, and way more "rated" power
