Camp Douglas Wi. 40miles nw of wi. dells | The tracks on the tractor breams the headlands but doesnt bother the yeild. The planter tracks dont bream. The folding of the planter does take couple more things you have to do but its all done from the cab in less than a min. We have 25" wide tracks that run on 120" that run in the same tracks as the tractor. Our set up is a 8410T with 30" tracks a DB 44 with 24x22" with 25" tracks, one row on each side runs in the tracks. This is our 3rd year with this set up all 3 years have been wet springs for us here with this year the wettest. We bought the 8410T new in 2000 after I had back surgery then bought a 1780 = 24x20" in 2001 planted with that outfit 10 years, planted 2 rows on each side in the tracks. If I were setting up a new DB 36x20" I would get 25" on the planter & 30" on the tractor & get them lined up to only plant one row in each track. If you did a search in crop talk back 2 years ago Jim from dawn took lot of pitures of our outfit, I dont know how to do that. |
