Central Nebraska
In my opinion this is not a gear ratio deal. Gear ratios and row sensors are not connected. If the planter is dropping what he is requesting but the population monitor is counting incorrectly it is a problem with the sensors. These systems to not self calibrate to the population monitor. Gear ratios should be adjusted to properly calibrate planter drive units. Population monitors are for verification of what the properly calibrated drive units are dropping.
