| You are likely looking at something with some age on it, so dealer support is important.
If you have a reputable Agco dealer around, look for an 8030 Allis Chalmers with a powershift. They are very good machines with many design elements which were far ahead of the competion at the time. We have an 8050 Allis with 18,000 hrs. We overhauled it at 10k, but haven't had a transmission or clutch problem.
I would stay away from the 86 series IH. I have one and don't like it. I have an old 66 that I don't mind, but I hate the 86.
If you want to spend a little more, find a 7110 Magnum or the smaler frame Maxxum.
