North Central Illinois | Tara, I surely hear where you are coming from on the constant flip-flop of crop threatening crisis. It's hard to keep track. However, as much as it pains me to agree with Tigger his idea has some merit. I have seen a lot of models that depict a much warmer and drier than normal pattern setting up over at least parts of the corn belt. With so much corn planted in less than ideal conditions it leaves the crop very vulnerable to stress later on. Many areas still with below normal subsoil moisture. I'm sure not throwing in the towel on this crop. Still think we can crowd 13 billion which will be more than enough. It looks to be another dicey summer though.l | |
