I was surprised to find it since this field is the only one in the area but I'm sure birds can spread it around. I've just never had a problem with it. I guess the cool spring here has made it take off. I also never had a big morningglory problem until last year when it took over a bean field. I try to keep rye grass covers away from fields I plant wheat in to limit this problem.
