Subject: NMEA gps signal to tablet

Dayton, IA
I am using SiteMate on a Samsung tablet running windows 8. I am not sure how to go about getting GPS signal to the tablet. SiteMate needs NMEA output to read the GPS signal. Is there anything that would give me this signal through the internet? When I am in the tractor I guess I can get it from my paradym receiver, but is there a way to walk out in the field with my tablet and have gps without carrying a battery and external receiver? I am just learning so if you need more information, ask me. Farmworks wasn't much help because it's not their tablet I am using.

thanks

A.J.
