Is the paradyme getting power from an accessory plug in the tractor? They send an adapter with a relay on it that will get power direct from your main power cable coming from the battery then the paradyme will turn on/off with the display. Don't know the part number off hand, I think they come with all kits.. If you put that in place then you wouldn't have to leave the tractor run. I've never had to do an antenna cal before but I've heard they can take a while..
