Subject: RE: Measuring water for sprayer - getting tired of guessing and being low

South Georgia
Seems like a lot of folks have trouble with this. I almost always fill the tank full, and adjust my rate to make the tank fit. Assuming I'm spraying multiple tanks of the same tankmix I don't figure too close, just whatever is easy based on full jugs or however I can get by measuring the least. Then on the last tank I can figure closer, within maybe 5%, and not have but a pinch left over.

Yesterday I sprayed a lot of generic Gramoxone, which requires much higher water volumes than I generally like to use, but in four tanks my rate ranged from 15 GPA to about 24 GPA. No partial tanks and I didn't have to leave a field and drive back to it to finish up.
