This is an old report, but SC made me go back and dig it out.
Looking at this, the traditional spring wheat states are fairly heavy in winter wheat plantings, at least compared to last year. MT, MN, ND all are pretty heavy. SD is not. Will these spring wheat acres make it into the ground?
SC comment about the fact that there is simply not any spring wheat, made me go back and dig this out to see what the respective states had. I would have to think that there will still some supply concerns to come...even if the acres do have a normal yield. Not that it matters to me, spring wheat is not my bag, but I should probably fertilize to get some extra protein out of my winter wheat.....wait nitrogen will probably be 1000/ton by fall, so who will fertilize that hard? More thoughts. FWIW
