I was told that you could not return to the 3.6 now without causing a lot of problems. My understanding is that the problem is with the 4.0 and the old ECU that the Ontrac2 runs. If you have the Ontrac2 + or the Geosteer it runs with the New ECU so I think you will be fine unless there are other problems that I'm not aware of..
