![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=443&type=profile&rnd=759) High Springs, Florida | Seldom hear anyone complain about how HIGH home prices are, or the price of new vehicles. Bought my first 1973 Chevy 3/4 ton for $3500. Same truck would be about $25K or more today. It was a stripped down 350 V8 with 4 speed manual and an AM radio. Probably can't be spec'ed out today.
People have short memories. If corn followed the CPI, it would be over $20 a bushel. Then what would a loaf of bread cost, or even a bag of horse feed. We are paying $13 now. If it were $30 a bag, how much hobby or recreational livestock would go to the killers?
On edit, it seems people only complain about things they have to buy, but not stuff they don't. Like $1500 Hanna Montana tickets. That stuff they brag about.
