First rule--put some seed in bottom of hopper dry will reduce bridging concerns--couple inches is enough.
I use a garden pump up sprayer as seed goes into auger--squeeze-pause-squeeze-pause etc as you get the right amount applied. The bristle auger does and excellent job mixing wheat, corn, and soybeans.
