"THAT DEPENDS" What animal ? What size wire, how many strands ? Construction design ? I have used from 1 joule to 40 joule, so no one size fits all situations. Get some help before you built the first powered fence, lets try to get it right the first time, because you won't have time to redo it if it is wrong to begin with. PLEASE DO ENERGIZE BARB WIRE, THINK ABOUT WHY !!
