I use the Garmin handheld GPS for the sprayer. It is very close to other monitors with radar. Only thing is, you need a lot of batteries. A Calc-AN-Acre unit with GPS would be better as it runs on your tractors power supply. No need for batteries.
My Garmin Etrix portable gps has a cig lighter power cord option, so that helps with the battery problem when I am using a machine with a working lighter socket.
Otherwise I run it with high capacity NiMH rechargable batteries that have a 15 minute recharge time . |
