Subject: RE: HELP JD 7800 Running Hot

West Tennessee
Our 7810 gave us fits for several years. We replaced (some of which needed replacing)...

Cracked overflow tank, thermostats (how old?), water pump housing (there is a pic somewhere on her of what that looked like...just knew that was it but wasn't ), fan clutch (works right now) and I'm sure some other stuff I've forgotten. Wound up being like the other poster said.....radiator clogged up with stuff. I was shocked at how heavy it was when it came off the tractor. New radiator core and it was good to go. Hope your luck is better than ours.

Edit to add: I don't know if what you are describing is really "hot" or not. Ours runs 2 bars from the red right now when it's working. Difference from before is that it would go up to the red if worked hard at all and now it just stays the 2 bars down in the green all the time and never rises any.
