Subject: I don't understand the surprise about snow in April.

Southeast Wyoming

Historically there is nothing uncommon about snow in April and May in my area.  The Cheyenne TV weatherman just this evening pointed about that on average March has the most snow "here", followed closely by April.  Yes, we have had nearly 3 times what is average for April.  We need the mositure and are thankful for it.  Our snow drifts are down to about 4 feet, we had about an inch of snow today, with more in the forecast for tonite and tomorrow.  But we are looking at a projected 70° by the weekend.

Is April snow really that uncommon, are some too young to know much about the weather, or are we just getting cabin fever and are anxious to be in the fields?
