Lavabit does not have spam filters for personal accounts.
Even for professional accounts, I doubt they see the traffic that would allow them to analyze spam and filter it, or the financial resources to do so.
These Fedex/USPS/UPS spam emails have been going on for a while now, you'd expect all ISPs to filter them out by now.
